Hello. My name is Nemu Takahashi. I am an illustrator born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Watching Godzilla movies, Ray Harryhausen’s stop-motion films and drawing dinosaurs were my favorite activities when I was a child. Now I am based in northern Virginia in the US right outside of Washington DC, nothing much has changed but I listen to rock while drawing. I also lived in cities such as Chennai ( India ), London and Moscow. During that time, I was a family tour planner and coordinated fun excursions such as “ Meet the Monster at Loch Ness ” and “ Let’s Collect Fossils in Jurassic Coast ”. Now my sons are grown and I am pretty much settled in one location, I get to create characters who goes on wild adventures in my sketchbook, while my dog Watson cuddles and keeps my feet warm under the work desk.
